Not so many pictures as when we met Peta. The reason being it was night so we couldn't really take pictures in case the flashes going off all the time disturbed people. I think we got the most important one though :-)

Basically it started with Thursday when we stumbled across the Nikita crew when we went to have a look at Casa Loma. That turned into a fabulous day culminating in Peta inviting us onto a closed set to watch a scene being filmed, which you can read all about in Meeting Peta.

Friday afternoon we moved from downtown Toronto back out to the airport to the Days Inn. We tried to ring Conny a couple of times but to no avail, she wasn't in. So we took our time getting ready for what we thought would be an evening in the bar. I'd just finished putting the finishing touches on my make-up when the phone went, it was Conny. Barb said told her that we had news (she wasn't with us when we met Peta) to which Conny replied that whatever we had to tell her, it wasn't a patch on what she had to tell us -- that she'd met Roy!

She went on to tell us where they were filming and that they would be there until approx midnight, it was 6.30pm. By 10 to 7 we were all ready and in a taxi on the way to Berkley St where they were filming. This location we knew was used as the exterior to Nikita's apt.

We basically told the taxi driver to go as fast as he could. He was brilliant and even managed to avoid the big tailbacks on the QEW/GEW by going along the lakeside. When we arrived at Berkley St we just threw the money at him and jumped out.

Whilst hanging around near the parking lot where all the trucks and winnebagoes were a couple of the drivers from Thursday recognised us and came over to chat, they couldn't believe we'd managed to find them again, but we told them we'd been tipped off this time :-)

One of them said he'd go and speak to Roy's driver Steve about the possibility of meeting Roy. When he came back he said Steve said he'd see what he could do. About 10 mins later, Steve drove past in big black car and said hi.

A while later he drove out of the lot again, this time with Roy in the car, he stopped the car just by us and said, don't worry I'll be bringing him back, Roy just smiled and said "Hi" ..... we then waited until he'd disappeared around the corner before squealing .... but not too loudly incase anyone from the crew heard us :-) When Steve came back he stopped again and asked "So what do you want to do with him" we just laughed and I said, "Well that's a leading question." ..LOL!

Steve came past a few times, always stopping to throw us a funny line eventually when he wasn't needed for a while he pulled up near us and we then spent the next few hours chatting to him. He was a great laugh and kept telling us little Roy stories without us even having to ask. Some stuff he told us we already knew, but he did tell us about the time Roy drove him around one night for a change ..LOL!

We'd been talking for ages when Steve told us that they were now filming outside so we went off to watch them do that for a while. It was great fun watching the way Roy prepares himself to be Michael and how the make-up and hair people descend on him every time there is a break. Interestingly he changes coats for close ups .... so it was *very* nice to see him jacketless in a long-sleeved form fitting t-shirt - yum!

All this must have taken hours, but we just happily stood around watching and Steve and Wayne (you'll see him on a vespa in the opening episode outside N's apt <G>) were kind enough to provide us with coffee to thaw us out.

As it got a little later and it looked like there was going to be a break in filming Steve suggested that we go over and wait by the parking lot where he would have to pull in to take Roy to his winnie .... so we did. About 20 mins later Steve drives past with Roy in the car. We thought that was it and that they had finished for the night and Steve would shortly be taking Roy home. We figured we might as well stand there a little longer and watch him drive out ... after all we'd stood around for hours what difference would a few more minutes make.

Not 3 or 4 mins later the car suddenly re-appeared and came to a halt in front of us. Steve jumped out of the car and said "ok ladies get your camera's out" Roy then came round removed one of his gloves and shook each of our hands in turn, he repeated each of our names as we introduced ourselves to make sure he got it right and then posed for a group photo. We actually had 2 taken, just to make sure. As it was late we didn't really want to make him stand there and have individual photo's taken with all of us.

Steve had a bit of a problem with Jolanta's camera and whilst they were busy handing it back and forth, Roy just stood their grinning. Actually I think Moira sabotaged it so that she would get to spend more time rubbing hips with Roy <G>.Once the photo session was over we expected that Roy would just jump back in the car and go back on set but he didn't he just pulled his coat tighter around him and leant back against the car ready to chat! Which of course completely threw us. Fortunately Viv was able to ask him a question - whether he would be working with Jean Beaudin again (director of BAHWC) and he said "Oh you know Jean Beaudin", to which Viv replied "Well not personally" .... which made him laugh. She then told him her favourite film was Chili's Blues and he told us a great story about how the script was a lot better than the finished product. That it should have been a better movie but because the original director was a first time director he didn't get much money from the Quebec government and by the time Charles Biname took over the script had already been re-written. He was only able to chat for about 5 minutes because he was then called back on set.

So I guess you're all dying to know what he looks like then -- stunning is the answer. However good you think he looks on the TV, that doesn't even begin to cover how good he looks in the flesh. His eyes are amazing, even in the dark they were twinkling away. His hair is a lot lighter than it appears on TV and you may have seen the fluffy bits flapping away in the breeze on other photo's from people who were lucky enough to meet him on Monday, but they were lying nice and flat on Friday night.
