Roy Dupuis has his Spanish fans dreaming.
On the front cover of the Tele Indiscreta, a
Spanish magazine devoted to television stars, our beautiful Roy announces that all his
free time is devoted to his fiancée!** Yes!
Reading the 2 page article, we discover that the Spanish readers have the same curiosity
for the star as the readers of artistic magazines from here (Quebec). Roy Dupuis talks of
his role as Michael in the show Nikita - a cold man that doesn't resemble him -, of his
farm which he is renovating, of the Ariane Mnouchkine film
Molière which changed his life
as he was going towards a scientific career.
He talks of his fiancée without naming her. But we're not expecting a marriage any time
soon. The article cites : "I don't believe in marriage : it permits making love with
God's blessing. Today, it's been transformed into a political and economical contract and
I don't see the necessity that a relation be binded by a piece of paper. Love is my
contract."
Thanks to Anne-Micha for this translation.
** Although Anne has correctly translated the French, the French translation of the original Spanish is not quite right. The Spanish word "novia", has many meanings, it is used for both girlfriend and fiancée
