Benefit for midwives Feb. 26

This photograph was used for the posters publicising the benefit

A theatre benefit to support the cause of midwives in Quebec will be held at the Spectrum next Monday. Midwife Isabelle Brabant, who is currently the subject of an inquest into the death of an infant born under her supervision, will take to the stage along with actors Roy Dupuis and Genevieve Rioux, as Romeo and Juliet, in a mock trial written by Claude Laroche. Money raised will go into a fund for midwives and will help pay Brabant's legal fees. Tickets, available through Ticketron, cost $15.
