Hemoglobin Review
**
A vaguely Lovecraftian horror flick set on an island off the coast of Maine populated by a
drunken doctor, a band of Canadian-accented eccentrics and a subterranean species of
hermaphrodite mutants with a craving for embalmed human flesh. Roy Dupuis turns up to
investigate his long-lost family and gets some nasty shocks when he meets the relatives.
An hour of fairly yawnsome build-up at least pays off with the ruthless dispatch of the
supporting cast and a gory lighthouse scene.
