| Michael's POV Onscreen:
2 minutes |
In accordance with the continuous
format of Season 5, the transient SOTWs have been replaced by a pair of Slimes of the
Season. The Collective, an uneasy coalition of the remnants of organisations Section has
defeated in the past, is run by Graff and Haled, two feuding contenders for sole
leadership. When it is apparent that a Section mole is feeding intel to the Collective,
everyone assumes that he/she is on the inside. Eventually the mole makes personal contact,
turning up at their HQ. It turns out to be Michael, banished from Section but still
familiar enough with Section protocols to be able to second guess their every move. He
offers to help them bring down Section with the proviso that they do not harm Nikita. |

At last, a credit for
Roy Dupuis as "Michael", but its appearance down amongst the guest
roles makes us even more aware of the loss to the series. The weeks of waiting are
rewarded with a mere two minutes on screen, barely long enough to get over the shock of
his appearance on first viewing! Emerging from the shadows, the
Spy-Who-Came-In-From-The-Cold, dishevelled look owes more to his next
incarnation Ross Desbiens (Le Dernier Chapitre) than impeccably groomed Michael.
Fortunately the unruly fringe doesnt make it to #507. But
he is authoritative and confident in his soft-spoken way, and despite having to duck out
of the next episode for some undercover directorial duties hes back! |
