Michael's POV

Onscreen:
28 minutes

Nikita’s prowess as a killing machine continues to astonish Michael and Operations. However, before finally succumbing to the after-effects of the Gelman process, Adrian has managed to record on disk instructions for reversing Nikita’s condition, requiring some highly specialised equipment which Walter provides. Michael orchestrates another elaborate plan to ensure that Section sequesters Nikita for her own safety. With her freed from duties, and with Walter and Birkoff covering for him on his mission, Michael abducts Nikita and begins her rehabilitation. Despite an escape attempt she gradually responds to a combination of medication, sensory deprivation and emotional stimulus, and finally regains her humanity. We think.
Michael Moments Administering the legendary green medicine (Michael’s variation on ‘a spoonful of sugar’)
Escaping from being handcuffed to the chair – (brawn meets brains!)
The black sleeveless top and the bandage round the famously well-developed right biceps
Administering the "ultimate" emotional building block in the tube
Words of Wisdom Madeline - "You’re not afraid to die, are you Michael?" M - "No, you’ve seen to that."
"You have to drink this."
"Because I can’t live without you."
Performance Rating
For half the episode Roy continues the performance that has dominated the previous two episodes of the arc. Then, with all preparations complete and Nikita under his control, Michael is allowed to release the full force of his caring onto an increasingly receptive patient (unfortunately this treatment is not yet available under BUPA). The more cynical among us might wonder why he (Michael) bothered, but Roy’s performance is quite touching, especially as Michael ends up emotionally drained and vulnerable. An excellent showcase for Roy’s talents, and admirably executed.
