| Michael's POV Onscreen:
24 minutes |
Michael slowly gathers
information from a bewildered Adrian, but has no success in contacting George. A surprise
attack by Adrians people with their obsolete P6s (did Jurgen ever
unload them?) uncovers Adrians deception, and they begin to work more constructively
in partnership. Capturing the real Nikita from a team of fakes, he fails to convince her
that she has changed for the worse. Realising that they have forced Operations into a
situation where he has to kill George, Michael foils an assassination attempt when
Georges helicopter receives a direct hit (yes, director Jon Cassar plays
the gunman). Michael stows the failing Adrian away in a place of safety, and returns
Nikita to Section, blackmailing Operations into maintaining her condition. |

"Im back."

Roy has always had a special
rapport with more mature actresses (Nancy Beatty (Angie), Margo Kidder (Nikitas
mother), and his various mothers Andrée Lachapelle (Cap Tourmente),
Véronique Leflaguais (Filles de Caleb), to name but a few), and his performance
opposite Siân Phillips is no exception. Another workmanlike performance, but with two
particular highlights. Jon Cassar echoes the training bout in Getting Out Of Reverse
with the real thing the fight with Nikita #3. The inventive choreography staged on
different levels points up Roys athleticism and exceptional physical grace even more
than in #401, and in the midst of all the action there is still space for subtlety. At one
point in the fight Peta does Im going to do something cunning, Roy does
Whats she going to do next. Spot the difference in technique =
Petas is so obvious, Roys is so finely tuned. The other highlight is the most
malevolent stand-off with Operations to date Roy brings the resolve back into his
voice to re-establish Michaels position in Section. |
