Jan, a rare female baddie, is
reluctantly recruited by Section, but on her first mission commits suicide in spectacular
fashion. Shy, terminally ill Sarah, who is Jans double, is recruited to complete the
work. On her first mission she panics and Michael has to rescue her. Madeline orders him
to chat with Sarah to make her feel more comfortable with men, and she quizzes him about
his love-life. Prompted by Nikita, Michael discovers that Sarah was being monitored for
suitability before Jans death, but assures her that this is not grounds to believe
that Section induced the illness. |

A good, tightly written
episode. Not a lot of Roy time but he does well with the few chances he gets, creating one
of the series best ever non-romantic quiet scenes the conversation with
Sarah. Roy shows us Michaels enjoyment in being teased by Sarah, as he watches her
grow in confidence. Genuinely smiling Michael is a rare enough occurrence, particularly in
this the 3rd season, so hats off to Joel for this little treat! |
