Michael and Nikita are sent
undercover, as aid workers, to a Balkan country torn apart by war. Their mission is to
assassinate a known arms dealer, Radovan Luca. After fighting their way out of an armed
checkpoint, they find two small children, brother and sister Peter and Sacha, who have
become separated from their parents. Michael wants to leave in order to track down Luca,
but Nikita insists they take the children with them. Later, she disobeys his orders to
take them to a refugee camp. Michael becomes exasperated, but perhaps because the children
remind him of himself and his younger sister, he allows them to stay. Finally tracking
down Luca, Michael kills him and then helps Nikita reunite the children with the parents.
However, when attempting to cross the border to safety, while the children are led safely
across by Michael and Nikita, the parents are forced to remain behind. |

Getting out of the Land Rover
(little flag wave for British cars!) in his drop dead gorgeous blue jeans and blue puffa
jacket.
Several hair tucks throughout the episode plus some great Mikey runs!
Gently lifting Sacha out of the back of the Land Rover.
His response to Lucas request to trade information for his life. |

Without much in the way of
dialogue, Roy manages to convey Michaels increasing irritation with Nikitas
obsession with innocents. Theres a priceless moment when Michael refuses
to take the children in the jeep but then in the next scene we see him driving off with
the children safely in the back. Roy makes Michael look like every dad who had to drive
miles across country with kids in tow! A good episode for Roy, some action, some
interesting choices to make about how much hell relate this storyline to
Michaels back story of looking after his sister, and another chink in his
hard-hearted armour. |
