26 minutes

The close relationship between Jurgen and Nikita causes Michael’s jealousy to grow, but he is still unable to express his true feelings for Nikita, even when challenged by her. Section and Michael use Nikita’s relationship with Jurgen to break into Jurgen’s home computer, so destroying the hold that he has over Section which gives him an unprecedented amount of freedom. Jurgen knows his days in Section are now numbered, so when a device fails to detonate remotely on a mission, he disables Michael with a pay-back shot in the leg and commits suicide by detonating it manually. Michael confesses to Nikita that he misled her about Jurgen, also revealing that Jurgen was his trainer in Section, but she doesn’t want to listen and walks away
Michael Moments The expressions on Michael’s face when he finds Jurgen at Nikita’s apartment
Marine mission mode Mikey (possibly not one of his best looks though. Note that Bruce Payne didn’t wear the wet-suit hood )
Listening in to Nikita and Jurgen about to make love and then telephoning her (on speed-dial!)
Crawling under the laser beams on his side, and using those thighs to push his way through!
Trying to explain things to Nikita
Words of Wisdom  "I was in the area, I thought I’d drop in to see how things were going."
"This is never an easy job; it’s sometimes unbearable for all of us."
"It was never my intention to hurt you."
"I had to keep my feelings separate. It’s how I live my life, Nikita, split in two."
Performance Rating
The arc closes with a good, longer-than-average episode for Roy, offering the full gamut of Michael: mission man, disappointed and jealous lover, a man afraid of being caught up in an emotional entanglement, we get the lot. He copes admirably with the whole range, so that we feel every pang of jealousy, every flash of anger at the stupid blonde he’s fallen for, and poignantly, his respect for Jurgen. Although the threat of Jurgen has been removed, the events of the arc seem to set the tone for Roy’s performance for the rest of the season; compared with season one his step has less of a swagger, his voice is less animated, he has lost a little of his quiet assurance.
