Michael's POV

Onscreen:
25 minutes

Michael is confronted by Jurgen about Nikita’s pretence at being held prisoner for six months, which confirms his worst fears. After he gives Nikita the cold shoulder she pointedly goes off with Jurgen, unaware that Michael is listening intently to their conversation. Immediately Jurgen starts to question Nikita about Michael, he calls her back into Section. He warns her not to trust Jurgen and shows her his background file in an effort to frighten her off, but with no success. After Michael sacrifices some of Jurgen’s men they slog it out inconclusively in a fist-fight, but on a mission at a refinery Michael shoots Jurgen in the leg to save him from getting caught in an explosion. Back at Section Michael finally attempts to build fences with Nikita, but she shoots him down in flames.

Performance Rating
The arc progresses with Michael trying to contain the threat posed by Jurgen, and taking a hard line with Nikita. Pretty much back ‘in charge’, Roy rallies audience support. Not too difficult, as it happens, as neither Nikita nor Jurgen are in the running for the sympathy vote by this stage. This episode was the one where Roy truly suffered for his art, the cut above his eye following the Jurgen fight was for real, a clash with on-set equipment being responsible. As consolation for his admirers however, we get to see more of his ballet-like moves in the fight scene.
