| Michael's POV Onscreen:
25 minutes |
Glass Curtain has resumed
activity, causing Michael to become uncharacteristically agitated. He and his team flush
out a young contact (JB) and use his identity to infiltrate Glass Curtain's HQ. Nikita
finds that Michael's wife Simone, presumed dead, is still being held captive by the leader
Sparks, and breaks the news to him. During the attack on Glass Curtain, Michael breaks off
to find Simone and rescue her. However she deliberately tricks him in order to ensure that
Sparks dies, and in so doing sacrifices herself. Unfortunately this issue arises again in
Season 3 (I Remember Paris) to become the most unpopular continuity gaff of the
series. |

Agitation at the briefing and
on apprehending JB
Recounting Simone's fate in his office, with Tai Chi shadows playing on his face
Liberating Simone from her cell ..... and ...well, the whole 25 minutes really .... |
| Words of Wisdom |
"I said it wasn't necessary. I was
wrong."
"Get to your exit point,
Nikita. I'm going to need you."
"I would have never
stopped looking for you. Never stopped loving you."
"Unit B. He's mine." |
Performance Rating

Much as we admire super-cool
Michael, this rare glimpse of raw emotion has remained a high point of the entire series.
The revelation of Simone was an insight into the unfathomable inner anguish that Roy was
to make Michael's trademark for the first two seasons. Later opportunities for expressions
of emotion never quite reached the mark for sincerity and sheer hurting that this
performance achieved. |
