Synopsis (translated from lecinema):

The film takes a look at Maurice Richard, the man behind the legend, from his modest beginnings to the infamous riot in the Montreal Forum in 1955.

Angered by a decision made by Clarence Campbell, president of the NHL, banning Maurice Richard not only for the last three matches of the season but also from all the qualifying matches, the anger of the Rocket’s fans turns into a riot; violence breaks out to the great distress of their hero …. Flashback: Maurice has only ever had one desire – to play hockey. After long days working hard in a noisy factory, he puts on his skates and throws himself body and soul into the pursuit of his dream. Even more than his talent and his agility, it’s this enthusiasm and passion that will make him a legend.  Through the seasons Maurice Richard will break numerous records and each of his exploits will resonate in the hearts of the people of Quebec like a victory, a revenge against everyone who tries to prevent one of their own from reaching the peak of success.
