| The chase scene is quite
dark so the pictures aren't that clear to begin with. However Zzoo's lightened them up,
and this is about as clear as she can get them.

Roy has a cameo role in this film
as an escaped convict called The Turk. He appears a little over the 7 minute mark.
The Turk has escaped from the prison that The Swede, Marlon Brando's character, is warden
of. We see two prison guards with dogs running through the forest in pursuit of The Turk. He is running, his hair is wet and plastered to his face, he turns his head to see how far behind his pursuers are ... damn he looks good :), he does this a few times so we are given a rather wonderful view of his flowing locks (a moments silence in remembrance please) as they swing around each time he looks behind. After about 30 seconds the guards shoot him in the leg and we get to hear the only sound that Roy utters during his brief appearance on screen. He's then lying on the ground breathing heavily looking up at the guards, who rather nastily have a shot gun pointed at that adorable face. Cut quickly to the prison where The Swede receives a phone call to say they've caught up with the escapee and what does he want them to do with him. So The Swede and the Judge (played by Donald Sutherland) drive out to where he was found. A handcuffed and bedraggled (but cute <G>) looking Roy is dragged before The Swede. TS remarks on how badly Roy is wounded and suggests a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. TS tells the guards to put him up against the tree. At this point we get a rather nice close up - Roy's hair is damp so it's gone a bit wavy, it's too long to curl and it's hanging down in front of his face, which is a little bloody and a bit sweaty and his eyes are oh *so* green. The guards push him up against the tree, he turns to look at The Swede, so we get another nice close up, just before he gets shot twice and slumps to the ground. Well that's about it, except for the tiniest glimpse of his mug shot about an hour in when Mira Sorvino pins it to a notice board. |
