down the barriers between performers and audience, is inviting the public,
in these cold waning days of October, to an outdoor performance. in a
graveyard. La Fête des morts, conceived and directed by Céline Bonnier and
Nathalie Claude, is inspired by the Mexican Día de los muertos, the one
day of the year when the veil separating the living from the dead is said
to be lifted. Like that festival, the show aims to be festive and
life-affirming, rather than macabre. |
